Farewell New York...

New York City has been my home for 20+ years, and leaving it semi-permanently has turned out to be one of the most difficult decisions I have EVER had to make.

It always seems like right before I leave somewhere I discover something new and wonderful there that becomes difficult to leave behind...but I know lots of amazing things await me in London and I'm beyond excited to experience them all.

I pretty much dress the same whenever I fly. T-shirt, Cardigan & UGG boots.

I know most people have a love/hate relationship with UGG boots, but they are the absolute best airport and cold weather shoe ever made.

Farewell New York...London here I come!

42nd Street...

Ugh, today I ended up in Times Square again. It sucks. It's like where all the tourists hang out and be annoying. All TRUE New Yorkers try to avoid 42nd street at all costs but since i've been an unofficial tour guide for the past 3 months I ended up there, again.

Hunny complains about me always wearing white t's. So Hunny this black t's for you!

The Wackness

I went to a party last night in the LES. It was really supposed to be good fun but it turned out to be WACK.

I was so disappointed that I literally hung out for a 1/2 hour and then left.

On a brighter note, tonight marked the debut of this hot pink skirt I purchased from Forever 21 a while ago.

I'm usually weary of wearing bright colors because I'm afraid of looking like one of those loser "neon kids" that roam around Soho all day, but this skirt was just too darn cute to pass up.

If you're unsure of what I mean by " neon kid' look at the second picture. I spotted this dude last week when I was out clubbing with Fats. He was wearing shiteous pants, a cropped t-shirt, and a fanny pack. To make matters even worse, I bumped into the same dude 2 days later in Soho wearing the exact same outfit WTF.

Part III

So Fats and I hung out again last night. Lots of dancing and more importantly lots of drink involved, hence, the super giggly blogger in the photos above.

Good Vibes

Last night I went out with Fats again. It started out with my giving her the most touristy of tours of Times Square. Along the way we ended up bumping into one of her friends whom she hadn't seen in a year...and then there were THREE!

We decided to head downtown and spent most of our night at a low key bar enjoying good reggae tunes and good vibes...

As Simple As Black & White

Hunny and I went out for drinks sometime last week at two different places. Both were pretty WACK but the company was amazing.

So nice to have him around.

This outfit is ridiculously simple. I purchased this skirt from Forever 21 for 5 bucks and it has definitely proven to be one of the best clothing purchases I've made all year.

I'm Back...

So I've been absolutely absent from this blog for a while. My apologies. Turns out working 7 days a week was even more difficult than I anticipated. I was supposed to continue working at job #2 until this Thursday, but I think I kind of got fired on Thursday.

Rumor has it that the designer of this "couture" company told his boyfriend that I disliked him. Hours later, this boyfriend, who also happens to be the "president" of the company and my longtime acquaintance, told me not to come in on Monday and said he'd "call me." Well, I haven't received a phone call and I am NOT waiting by the phone. I could say something really nasty about two grown ass men in their 40's gossiping like school girls...BUT, I'm not.

As disgruntled as I am about the shady manner in which I was dismissed, I learned a lot from working there and gained some real fashion experience.

Because of my crazy schedule I literally have had no time to put together anything clever. The two pictures above pretty much accurately reflect the way I've been dressing since I last blogged. My outfits have all basically consisted of the following: Jeans, a T-shirt, a Sweater or Jacket and Converse.

My Apologies...

So I've been insanely busy for the last week. So sorry to desert you. I had a friend fly in from London and give me about hmm... 48 hours notice. Needless to say the week was crazy, but we had a wonderful time and everything ran smoothly.

Also, I am now working 7 days a week (psychotic I know)! So in addition to the mind numbing waste of time that is job 1, I now have a job #2. I'm extremely excited about job 2 though. It was an offer that I absolutely could not refuse. I'm already loving it and learning so much. Having 2 jobs isn't all bad though, certainly can't complain about getting 2 checks a week instead of one. And, all this extra dough will allow me to move to London on schedule to be with Hunny.

Speaking of Hunny, he is absolutely going to flip when he sees that my nail polish is totally chipping off in the last picture. He absolutely hates it when my nail polish is half on and half off.

Live Fast, Die Young

I saw Shutter at the movies last night with my best friend Tits. Both of us have crazy work schedules, but this weekend we decided it was time, to make time for each other. Shutter is totally not the type of movie that I would usually agree to go see, but after seeing the mess that is 10,000 B.C. last week I'm hardly in a position to judge. To my surprise, the movie wasn't absolutely unbearable to watch, but still, I wish I didn't dish out a hurtful $11.75 for a movie ticket.

I sort of felt like dressing up yesterday, but sort of didn't. So I decided to wear one of my favorite skirts with sneakers!

I am totally anti t-shirts with cheesy with sayings. With that being said, the top I'm wearing in the above photo is a t-shirt with a cheesy saying. It reads "Live Fast, Die Young."

Cheese Balls

My alarm clock went of like a gazillion times this morning, but I just could not get up. Needless to say, I rolled my ass into work about 20 minutes late, but DA BOSS was cool about it because I'm usually quite punctual.

Today was supposed to be the kick off of my "get your ass into shape because spring is here" diet. But, BP (my best friend at work) bought this huge barrel of UTZ cheese balls and him and I have already eaten half of them (disgusting, I know).

Because I was running so late, I defaulted to my trusty polo and skinny jeans combo because it never fails me! My favorite thing about this look is this cool faux-croco bag I got dirt cheap on Ebay and my electric yellow nail polish that I absolutelty love, but that Hunny (my husband/boyfriend/lover/BFF) loathes.

Sushi & Beer

So last night I went to a co-worker's b-day party at a hip Sushi bar type place. Because I'm on a ridiculously tight budget I gave the b-day boy 20 bucks in a card and limited myself to one super small sushi platter and two beers the entire night. Despite my inability to get an adequate buzz from the booze, I still had a nice time.

I really went shifting through the archives to find this skirt that I abandoned about 4 years ago, but once I put in on and added a simple tank and belt I felt quite pleased with myself.
