What If...

Earlier this week I met up with the lovely M.R. and her hubby for dinner. M.R is a good friend I made during my brief stint at law school a few years ago.

Since I ditched law school and became some sort of aimless wanderer, I've often wondered if leaving was the right decision.

Instead of taking the safe route and having a life filled with predictability and stability, I opted for a life filled, with adventure, heartbreak, and unpredictability.

I sort of envy the organically beautiful relationship M.R. and her hubby have, and how grown up and put together she seems, but perhaps that's just not the sort of life I'm destined for. Perhaps, I'm destined for a bit more...

*What a pretty picture, kudos to me for laying off the booze that night and being a respectable young woman..

Sometimes Honesty is the Best Policy

Photobucket
When Roma returned to London last week, I really wanted to tell him that it was over, but I was too chicken and met up with him for drinks instead.

He sent me several desperate texts the following week including one that read “are you alive?

I ignored his texts as well as his sporadic phone calls for nearly a week and hoped that he would get the hint.

On Thursday, while I was at work chatting it up with one of my colleagues I caught a glimpse of Roma's desperately longing face and I quickly hid behind a piece of furniture.

That night he called me and I decided that it was time to tell him the truth, and I did. His response was “Nadia, you are a crazy girl, you call me when you want to hang out.”

I haven't heard from Roma since.I know that I undoubtedly hurt his feelings but, I'm really proud of myself for being honest with him.

I think I've finally realized that although dodging phone calls and hiding behind furniture may seem like the easy solution, sometimes it's better to just confront things head on.

*Update, apparently Roma didn't understand that he was dumped because yesterday he sent me a text that read "Nadia, r u busy this week."

*This is my new favorite song and it is dedicated to two ZERO's; Roma and Cuntface.

So Neglectful...

I have been quite neglectful with this blog. My apologies.

I started this blog to document my life and I have been doing myself a great disservice by failing to update it.

Posted above is the only picture I've taken in the last two weeks and it pretty much sums up my nighttime activities in London.

Expect more regular and perhaps even more insightful posts in the coming weeks.

*Please disregard my use of sunglasses indoors
