Year in Review...

2008 started out full of hope and I was madly in love. Towards the middle of the year I became a workaholic. By summer, I was able to completely relax and have fun with NY. This fun I think, disrupted the natural course of things and made me reevaluate my relationship with Cuntface.

By the fall, my seemingly perfect relationship with Cuntface met a bitter end. I felt completely lost and became someone I didn't even recognise. Hope, positivity, and optimism, all things that I believed were truly the essence of my being; had vanished.

I quickly gathered my things and headed back to New York, not because I wanted to, but because I knew I had to.

The love I received when I returned home was overwhelming. But, so much had changed since I left, and I had changed too. I realized the NYC was no longer the place for me, London was my destiny.

Thinking about all that I've lost in 2008 is a bit sad, but I reckon I will gain a lot in 2009.

Best wishes for the New Year.

One More Thing...

Remember that guy in London that I told you I kind of have a soft spot for? Well, he sent me an incredibly sweet Christmas surprise.

Perhaps he kind of has a soft spot for me too...

Date Night!

My date promptly picked me up after work and we headed to a quaint little bar and had a few drinks.

The conversation between us seemed to flow naturally and I quickly realized that in addition to being attrative, he was charming, funny and interesting. When the clock striked 10 we decided that we weren't ready to call it a night just yet and heaeded to an Italian restaurant for dinner.

At the Italian joint, we ended up being seated fairly close to his ex-girlfriend who was there with her new beau. This initially made things slightly akward but my date and I were able to get back on track and enjoy a lovely meal.

Our date lasted a whopping 5 hours.

This new guy is quite different from any guy that I've dated before so it'll be interesting to see how things play out...

Another Day Another Date...

A cute guy popped into my workplace today. We had a rather smiley and personal interaction about work stuff and then he left.

He returned less than a half an hour later and said "I may totally be coming out of left field with this, but, would you like to go out for drinks later?"

I couldn't say no to that cute smiling face, so of course I accepted his offer.

I will tell you all about our date later...

The Best Pizza Ever II

In a last minute decision, I decided to meet up with the Italian Stranger again.

I told him to take me to one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants in the city and he willingly obliged. That in itself gave him several cool points....but I needed/wanted to find out more about him.

Surprisingly, we ended up having a pretty decent dinner conversation and enjoyed a lovely meal and Chardonnay.

After dinner, we headed to one of his favorite bar/restaurants in the East Village and had a few more drinks and sucked face.

When we finished up with drinks it was quite late so I took him up on his offer to crash at his place. I made him pinky swear that he would have no expectations for chocolate pudding once we arrived at his house, and he lived up to his promise as expected.

I'm not sure if I'll go out on a another date with the Italian Stranger...mainly because I know that there's no future for us. Furthermore, I think I might have a soft spot for someone in London, but we'll discuss that later...

White Christmas

Today I headed back to work after enjoying 3 lovely unproductive days off. Usually I would bitch and moan about returning to work, but surprisingly I actually quite like my job.

Instead of getting involved in some Friday night madness I decided to take my butt straight home after work. I ended up spending the night watching White Christmas with my Daddy. There's certainly no other way I would have preferred to spend my Friday night, but I reckon Saturday night will be little more interesting...

Lately I haven't been in the mood to wear real pants so I've been wearing leggings and poom poom shorts A LOT. But today it was snowing and I was cold as hell in these leggings so perhaps I'll wear pants tomorrow.

*Please try to focus on the pretty pattern on the back of my cardigan instead of my baaad panty line situation...
